Web 2.0 Tools for the MFL Classroom
Here is a list of Web 2.0 Tools that could be useful in the MFL classroom and that I will eventually incorporate into my schemes of work.

- create flashcards with videos, photos, audio and text. Can be a homework task to help with revision.

- make your own multimedia activities. For fabulous examples in MFL have a look
French and Spanish learning games, vocabulary builders, verb conjugation trainers and grammar resources
- online videos with transcripts of songs in various languages. You can make flashcards of the videos.
- creating a presentation in Prezi allows you to zoom in and add multimedia. Can use it to teach a new topic (vocabulary etc) or pupils can make their own.
- Create your own flashcards or use the many available flashcards within the site. You can create groups for students to work together and join in on their discussions with live chat. There are many modes including familiarising, learning and testing. Now: Quizlet LIVE, a team game version.
- create comic strips.

- annotate (with a voice or with audio) anything on the page (video, image etc). Here is a link to 12 interesting ways to use

. MFL ideas include: Labelling a picture with correct vocabulary, describing what they see on the page (AS - stimulus cards?) and developing ideas from that.

- create your own
avatar (virtual character) and give it a voice by uploading audio/typing in text/adding your own voice. Tool to make your own classroom listenings (with a different character instead of you doing all the talking), or you could get pupils to make them and add their own voice (eg. a presentation).

, such as this one, can be used to create a class dictionary. As the students learn more vocabulary, they can update the dictionary. It then becomes a record of what they have learnt. An extension activity for more able pupils is to add the grammatical information, e.g.
